I was working on my site and planned a Coffee party for this summer, however, my oldest daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor after going to the ER with a seizure. Within a week of the seizure she had brain surgery. Pathology thankfully revealed it was not malignant and she will go on to live a very normal life. We are still recovering and will be all summer. If you see something you like in the mean time, or you want to place an order, email me and I will be happy to help you. Hopefully, I can do some things in the fall.

Coming this spring, After Coffee Amy will become aftercoffeeamy.com. I am closing the etsy.com store and venturing out on my own and I am so excited to offer this easy shopping alternative to my clients. Now you will be able to order and purchase from me directly. Local pick up options will be available to all local customers. I will still have the same low flat rate shipping costs for all out of town clients as well as my international ones.

Here are some other exciting things coming up this spring!

CLEARANCE
First, I will be having a sale starting in April on all the old jewelry lines currently available on Etsy except for the Tying The Knot necklaces (these will become a part of a youth line I will be launching). Everything else will be clearance at buy one get one 50% off.

NEW LINES
My goal with the new lines of accessories is to simplify in order to make the boldest statement. Many women are intimidated by accessories but my new pieces will take all the guess work out of dressing.

Minimalist Metalics is a line of Gold, Copper, and Silver plated jewelry that I will be launching to aid women in choosing a timeless, classic, yet fashion forward piece that will go with anything at anytime, anywhere.

This in addition to the All About Color line - the name says it all- will be a true reflection of me as an artist and a person. By using color and texture, All About Color will focus primarily on murano glass beads with metal or glass pendants very similar to the the Love in Bloom necklace.

The new youth lines will include the Precious Stone necklace and the Tying the Knot series and other youth oriented items at affordable prices.

EARRINGS
Another exciting change - I will make matching or coordinating earrings for most of the necklaces!

TOTE IN STYLE
The Tote In Style bag samples are all available now for order. The are ever so much cuter in person and will hold a large amount of items. Your lunch has never had the potential to be so stylish!

Tote in Style Has Two New Designs!

Here are the last of the Tote In Style hand painted designs. The Zebra print is only available white on black in the larger tote. If you order this design in the lunch tote, it will be black on cream. The embellishments however will be the same. This print is available to you for $23.50 for the lunch tote and $27.50 for the book tote. This pattern is much more labor intensive but the end product is pretty cool especially when personalized.

The bird is available in both sizes for $19.98 (lunch tote) and 24.98 (book tote). Email me at amycrh@gmail.com for orders. Remember the Cherry Tree, Peace Sign and Cross are also still available for order and there is an up charge of $2 per letter to personalize your bag. Happy Toting!

An Exciting New Item

My girls love those semi precious stones and rocks that you put into a bag. I always wonder what in the world to do with them. They seem much to pretty and interesting to be kept hidden away in a velvet sack. This past weekend, I had an epiphany. I made coil and strung it on a silk ribbon with a barrel closure. They can interchange the stone depending on the color of their clothes or their mood by sliding one stone out of the coil and putting a new one in and they both love them. These are available for purchase for $15 and come with the strung coil pendant and three different stones you may request a ribbon color from black to white to any color in the spectrum. Tote in Style

Here are three of the designs for my new lunch and book totes. I have two more designs to come (a bird and a zebra print) so check back in the coming week. The cross can be done on a lunch size tote but the detailing will be slightly different. The lunch tote measures 10.75 inches long by 8.5 inches wide and has a gusseted bottom and is available for $19.98. The book tote is 13.5 inches long by 10.25 inches wide and has a gusseted bottom and is prices at $24.98.

Cherry tree is embellished with pink rhinestones.

The bow is a fancy embroidery trim.

Here is a sneek Peek at the new product line I am launching this weekend. I will have the actual bags painted and for sale this weekend on etsy.com made to order. Each bag can be personalized with your initials. There are two sizes, small and large. The small bags are great for lunches or smaller items and they will sell for $19.98. The Large bags are great for packing big items like books, papers, and so on and are for sell at only $24.98. Personalizing will cost $2 per initial. Each motif has its own font and the bags are completely hand painted and embellished.

This is a beautiful piece that uses blue lapis connected to the silver chain mixed with intermittent lock and key charms. It is dramatic yet classy and I love it! Making a Clearance Item a Real Bargin

Boring Bag To Eye Catching and Child Pleasing One

My daughter has been asking me since school started if she could have a new bag for her things. I had been hesitant wanting her to carry a back pack but on a whim I picked up a plain bag I saw on clearance for $7 and brought it home and got to work.

First, I painted a zebra print on the center pocket. You can do this at home by using a stencil or for those more confident in their skills you can draw it on with a fabric marker used in sewing and then fill it in with paint. Any craft paint will do.

Next I chose some items she liked such as flowers and hearts. I choose the flowers and the colors I knew she liked and made a small tatoo - if you will - on each corner. I freehanded the flowers but, many art and craft supply stores sell either fabric stamps or stencils. There are many different patterns and even letters. You can also make you own with the computer and a printer. Once you print the items you want you can cut them out with an Exacto. If you do use a stencil, make sure you get a stencil adhesive, a dabber to apply paint and make sure the paint is very dry to prevent bleeding through.

Finally, I added the bling with the same glitter fabric paint. Just put a dab of it on the bottom of the rhinestone and place it where you want it to go.

When I finished my daughter said she was so glad she had a mommy who could paint. Not a bad payoff for a small investment and one hours worth of work.

While sitting at the illustrious Sonic dining establishment, my family and I were provided with some almost mystical entertainment. A bush consisting of crepe myrtle and trumpet vine - which incidentally has a stunning effect of color, texture and apparent wildlife attraction - was directly in our view. All at once, my 8 1/2 year old nature enthusiast hollers out in a whisper, look a humming bird. And much to our delighted astonishment, there indeed was a green and very energetic humming bird making good use of the long sweet and fragrant trumpet flowers. Fortunately, my high tech husband had his Blackberry and he handed it to me as he himself cannot operate the camera properly. I was agile enough to establish myself between the steering wheel and the gear shift just long enough to capture this shot.

Needless to say, the experience was brilliant but the picture not so much.

It just goes to show, you need not money nor finery to enjoy life's greatest offerings! Thank you Mr/Mrs/Ms Bird of mythical proportions for providing me a lifelong memory with my family. I will somehow and someday find a way to repay your kindness.
